MEET JOFFREY!!!
We took in this adorable little guy and two others (posted separately) when they ended up in the shelter. They were in really bad shape. Their owner had dementia and lost the ability to keep up with their care. Since arriving they have been doing so much better and are ready to start looking for their forever homes. They are such good dogs and deserve the best future.
They were all horribly matted with nails that were almost two inches long. This guys tail was nothing but a dreadlock of hair it was so sad. They smelled so bad. We had them groomed thanks to Fluff and Buff grooming who fit them in quickly so they could be comfortable again. They also saw the vet and got updated. They’ve been so sweet and loving despite all they have gone through.
Joffrey is a male Yorkie. He weighs 8 pounds and is full grown. As for his age it’s a guess at best. His owner said they were all 11 months old and we know that’s way off. We are estimating he is 6 years old but we just don’t know.
He will be neutered, microchipped and up to date on his vaccines as part of his adoption. He is heartworm negative. He will need his adopter to get him a dental done in the near future once hes made it through his neuter and has time to recover.
He really is the cutest little guy. So stinking handsome with his new hair cut. He’s been a great dog to have in the home. He would love to be held all day every day. Super sweet guy.
Joffrey has been great with all other dogs. He is good with both big and small dogs. Hes also fine as the only dog. We aren’t sure how he would do with cats but likely fine. He isn’t fostered in a home with kids but we think he would do well with respectful children. He met an older kid and did great. Kids should be old enough to understand not to treat him like a toy.
He rides great in the car and is good with his crate training. He not very familiar with leash walking. He has so far done well with his potty training. He’s a really easy guy to have around. He’s just happy for love and attention.
Joffrey has had no trouble sharing food, treats or toys with other dogs or humans. He has a fairly low energy level. He has gotten the zoomies a few times but mostly he’s happy just to sit around with you.
We really enjoy having this little cutie around. He will require some additional vetting for the dental but promises to repay you with loyalty and companionship.
Vet and home checks required.
