Juno

MEET JUNO!!!

Okay listen, this dog is the greatest thing ever. Everyone that meets her just loves her personality. A fun little dog that is just the right amount of everything. Great size, great level of energy, agreeable to whatever you’re doing. We just love her to pieces!!
She was adopted back in 2021 and sadly her adopter has some significant life circumstances preventing her from giving Juno the life she deserves. I can tell you Juno has been loved so much in her first home. She is ready to share that love with her new family.
Juno is a female, approx 6-7 years old. She is very overweight right now which we are working on. When adopted she was 34 pounds and now she is 46 pounds. She should be back to 30-34 pounds to be her ideal and healthy weight. (The last few photos on the post show her at ideal weight when she was first here prior to adoption)
We never really figured out what breed she was. She kind of looks like an oversized Jack Russell but we really aren’t sure. She has the cutest speckled belly and the greatest attitude.
She has been spayed, microchipped and up to date on vaccines already. She is thankfully heartworm negative.
Juno is a lover, she can be a bit obnoxious with her love at times. She LOVES to give kisses. She doesn’t have any concept of you not enjoying them. You’re getting the kisses lol, she is determined. She likes to cuddle and wants to be as close to you as possible. She will wiggle worm all over the couch to see if it’s possible to get any closer to you.
She has been good with other dogs so far but isn’t fond of hyper dogs that run up into her face. She will growl but hasn’t done anything more. She has been fostered with cats and she ignores them. She pretty much ignores other animals in the home as her goal is to be her humans shadow. She will do best in a home with calmer dogs.
Juno has not lived with any young kids yet but with as loving as she is we think she will do great. She would need to be treated properly by children in the home. Meaning no laying on her, pulling tails and ears etc. That goes for any dog. She’s had no issues sharing food, toys or treats so far with other animals or people. She was an angel at the vet. They said she flopped over on the table and got belly rubs while they did all her vaccines.
She rides well in the car and is pretty good on a leash. She is happy to go on adventures with you. She doesn’t really like being crated but does very well being left out in the home. She can be crated you just have to tell her no initially when she starts to bark or whine and she eventually figures it out. You will have to put her in the crate as she won’t go in when asked yet. She has done really well with potty training so far. She may have a few accidents when adjusting to a new home and routine.
Juno is fairly calm and really likes to lay around in her dog bed all day. She gets a little hype about sharing her love with you at times. Once you calm her down she goes back to relaxing. She has a slight amount of separation anxiety but it’s been easily manageable. If you go outside she may whine or bark at the door. When gated in another room she will do the same but it’s short lived if you ignore her. She can easily jump a 4ft or shorter fence/gate and she absolutely will do that to get to where her people are.
She is a lot of love in an adorable package. If you’re into cuddles, hugs and tons of kisses then she’s your girl. She’s easy to have around the house and wants nothing more than her love to be returned.
**She will need a family committed to helping her lose the extra weight as that is not healthy for her. She appears to already have a bit of arthritis and the extra weight is making that worse. **
Located in Hampton VA.
(She will need to be adopted within a 2 hour drive radius)
