Meet Koda!!

He’s a gigantic yet extremely gentle puppy looking for a great new home.

Koda is a 7 month old, male, St. Bernard / German Shepard mix. He weighs approx 80-90 pounds already.

Despite his size he is extremely gentle and very well behaved. He is easy going and easy to handle.

Koda is perfect on a leash, no pulling at all. He rides wonderful in the car, gets in and out on command and does not bother the driver. He is crate trained and is a quiet dog. He LOVES water. The beach is a favorite place but also if you leave the door open you’ll have 90 pounds of fluffy puppy join you in the shower!!

He has done extremely well with other dogs despite being a bit overly playful at times. He did fine around a cat. He’s good with kids and is good meeting new people.

Koda is really an angel to have around. His owner put him through puppy obedience classes and it really shows. He is still learning a routine here with potty training. He does best when a crate is used while you are not home.

He has longer hair around his tail, neck and ears that will need to be brushed to avoid matting. He’s drools a lot when drinking water but otherwise isn’t as slobbery as a regular St Bernard, however that could change as he gets older.

Koda will likely be a huge dog. He’s not done growing! Big dogs cost more money. Vet work, food and monthly preventives will cost more. Please consider that carefully while deciding if he’s the right dog for you.

I really can’t say enough great things about Koda. Everyone he meets falls in love with him instantly. If I had the space he would be adopted already!! He’s just a wonderful dog!!

**Just wanted to add that Kodas previous owner loves him so much. It was only because of a serious and long term medical situation that she made the hard choice to let him go. He is the amazing dog he is because she put so much time, love and effort into him. If you’re open to contact with the previous owner she would really love that. There is also a pet plan at Banfield vet through February 2020 that you can use for huge savings on his care. She’s already paid for it.

He will be neutered, microchipped and up to date on shots as part of his adoption.
