Kylee

This sweet little girl is looking for a loving forever home. She’s shy at first but once she’s comfortable with you she’s a total love bug.

Kylee is a approx 4 year old female Bichon poodle mix. She currently weights 11.5 pounds and is full grown. She will be spayed, microchipped and up to date on her vaccines as part of her adoption. She is heartworm negative.

This sweet girl is super scared of new people at first. Once she realizes you’re safe she becomes very sweet and loving. She’s gotten very comfortable with her foster family. It just takes a little time. If you push yourself on her too soon she may nip at you. She hasn’t yet but we also respected her space while she adjusted.

Kylee has been great with other dogs. We aren’t sure how she would do with cats but likely fine. She was raised with kids and does well with respectful children. Kids should be old enough to understand leaving her alone at first when she’s adjusting.

She is about 75% potty trained. When she is prompted to go potty outside she will. At night she has used the pee pad. She does initially nervous pee when afraid but that fades away as she realizes she’s safe. She’s fine on car rides and hasn’t had much leash walking experience. She likes her crate as a safe space and will go in on her own when she needs her quiet time. She doesn’t like it closed/locked. If you crate her at night, she will whine until she settles in and gives up.

Kylee has had no trouble sharing food, treats or toys with other dogs or humans. She does eat extremely fast and does best with a slow feeder bowl.

She so far has a fairly medium energy level. She likes to sit on the back of the couch and watch everything. She hasn’t played much with any of the toys. She likes to sit on lap and cuddle. Not much barking.

If you are willing to give her space and time to adjust you will get an awesome companion.

She will need regular grooming. This requires time to get her to and from the appointments and additional expenses to pay for it. On average a dog of this breed will need grooming every 6 weeks. This should be fully considered prior to applying to adopt her.
