MEET NOBLE!!!
This guy was nothing like what we expected. He’s done so well since arriving and is a fun, loving, and happy boy. We also took in his son (Barnes) who is also posted.His previous owner said she had him for five weeks and could not even touch him 🤷♀️. We think it was the environment he was in as we were able to handle him the first day and within just two days he fully trusts his foster family and is a playful, snuggly and happy guy!!
Noble is a 7 year old, male, chihuahua mix. He weighs 9.5 Pounds and is full grown.
He will be neutered, up to date on vaccines and will be microchipped as part of his adoption. He is thankfully Heartworm negative.
Noble takes a day or two to fully warm up to new people but once he does he’s a super sweet dog that wants nothing but love. Hes not motivated by food or treats he really thrives on love and attention.
He does well with other dogs of all sizes. We haven’t seen him with cats but we suspect he would do well. He is not fostered with kids regularly but met a younger kid and was really good with him. He would do well with kids old enough and respectful enough to not treat him like a toy. He will need a day or so to trust everyone in the house. Kids need to be able to give him space at first.
Noble is crate trained but can be vocal at times when he wants to be out with you. Not a super loud bark but more of a quiet bark or chirp. He currently sleeps in his crate great at night. He rides well in the car. He is pretty good on a leash. He’s done very well with potty training. He learned the doggie door in a day and hasn’t had any accidents at all.
He has a medium energy level. He’s becoming more spunky and playful as he comes out of his shell. He isn’t much into toys but loves to run with the other dogs or play tag with his humans in the house. He’s becoming a fun little guy!
He has not shown any aggression over food, treats or toys with dogs or humans. He isn’t much for getting on furniture but will come on the couch with you if you ask him to.
Noble is a bit odd as he will be shy and afraid to trust for a day or two and then after that he needs a firm owner. He excels when his people set firm guidelines. He initially wanted to fight going in his crate, coming back inside etc. His foster set rules and expectations for him and he almost instantly stopped those behaviors. Despite his initial shy nature he is best when not coddled. Dogs feel more confident when they have someone to lead them.
He is slower to warm up to men but already loves his foster dad. He just needs some extra time to feel safe around people.
Noble has really turned into a fun and well behaved guy. It takes a little extra time for a few days but then he’s the most loving and loyal boy!!
Vet and home checks required.
