Presidential litter

MEET THE PRESIDENTIAL LITTER!!!

**Looking for SEPARATE homes**
We recently took in these adorable siblings from a family that was unable to support feeding and caring for them anymore. (We were trying to take the mom as well but she was given to someone before we could)

They are approx 4 months old and all males. They appear to be Pit-bull type mix (judging from mom’s photo) and should be medium size when full grown. Their mom looked to be about 50 pounds and dad is unknown.

They came to us very skinny and full of worms. They are fairly small for their age/breed but they may rebound with their growth now that the worms are gone and lots of food is always available. Many are still skinny in their photos as they were taken throughout their time here.

All puppies will get vaccines, dewormed, neutered, and a microchip.

The Puppies:
(Photos are labeled with names)

JEFFERSON – 7.5 pounds – Independent and more confident. He’s happy to go off exploring the house or yard without you. Still loves his people but not as clingy as his brothers. Likes to nap in your lap when he’s tired.

WASHINGTON – 9.5 Pounds- Loves to be held. Likes to follow you around. Goes with the flow of the household. Super sweet

NIXON – 9.7 Pounds- Very sweet and affectionate. Loves his people. Goes into supersonic play mode with other dogs then crashes hard with a good nap.

LINCOLN – 10 Pounds- Shy but also adventurous and curious. Happy to cuddle but loves to climb and explore with another dog. Follows his foster around everywhere. Loves toys.

COOLIDGE – 7 pounds- Sweet boy was in very rough shape when arriving. He currently loves to just be held and snuggle. When he’s ready to play he’s very agile and loves to climb and jump. May become more active with more recovery progress.

ROOSEVELT – 10 pounds- Loves plush toys. Very sweet. Likes to always be watching you. Goes with the flow of the house.

TRUMAN – 9 pounds- Great mix of playful and chill. Bit of a bulldozer when playing as he can be wide open before crawling up on the couch to crash next to you.

>>>Puppies names do not reflect their individual political views <<<

All the puppies love other dogs and love kids. They can be a little shy with new dogs but once they see they are safe they play hard. They would love another playful/active dog in the house to play with. They have not yet met and cats but are young enough to learn.

They try their best with potty training but are still very young and have accidents. They have had limited accidents when crated and let out frequently. The older they get the longer they can hold it and the more they figure out the households routine. Most are very vocal about letting you know when in the crate and ready to go potty.

They have not taken many car rides in their lives and a few did get sick on the ride here. Their second ride went much better but we recommend not feeding just prior to traveling. None have started leash training yet.

They have all started crate training and do fairly well with it. Some potty accidents and vocal moments should be expected while they fully learn to stay in the crate when needed. (Washington, Roosevelt and Coolidge are so far the best with crate training.)

They have not had any trouble sharing food treats and toys with humans or other dogs.

The pups love to explore and play but are also sweet and cuddly. They are fun, curious and happy puppies.

So far they have a medium to high energy level. They will need lots of playtime and both mental and physical exercise every single day. Puppies not given proper exercise can display destructive behaviors and have difficulty with training and manners. How they turn out is largely up to how much effort and time your family puts into them now. They all have the potential to be wonderfully trained and well behaved dogs.

Adopting a young puppy is a ton of work. They will have lots of potty accidents, chew things up etc. You will need to help them learn things like leash walking, crate training and basic manners. It can be a lot of work but the reward is a dog that fits well into your family’s lifestyle if you invest proper time on training with them. Please carefully consider the time and effort a puppy requires before adopting.

We do NOT adopt siblings into the same family. Before commenting on how sad etc, you feel that is please google “littermate syndrome” so you can understand why we take this precaution. It is done in the best interest of the puppies.

Vet and home checks required.

Located in Hampton VA.
(They will need to be adopted within a 1 hour drive radius)
