MEET RUCKUS!!!
This outgoing puppy is looking for a great new home. His personality fits his name so he is looking for a home that is both dog savvy with training and also active to keep him busy.
Ruckus is an approx 8 weeks old male. He is said to be a Cane Corso mix and with his personality that fits the breed. He currently weights 9 pounds. He is likely going to be a large and strong dog.
He will get several sets of vaccines, dewormed, a microchip and neuter as part of his adoption.
Ruckus loves everyone and everything. He is all about living his best life. He is extremely spunky and a bit goofy! He loves his people and wants to be with you all the time. He loves to play with other dogs and has no fear of dogs no matter how large they are. He needs a family that understands he will need to be exercised daily and given both physical and mental exercise to be happy. He is extremely smart and needs someone to channel that into good behaviors.
His breed can be strong willed so he will need a family that understands the importance of firm consistent training. They are loyal family dogs and will need continued socialization to not become overly protective. Currently he does not have any issues with this however as he matures it will be up to his family to set him up for success through training and socialization.
How this puppy turns out is on your family and the effort you put in. If you chose to adopt him and not give him both proper socialization and training consistently, it could lead to him being labeled aggressive or unmanageable. It’s all up to you, so please consider that heavily before asking to adopt.
Ruckus loves dogs of all sizes. He can be overly playful with other dogs and jumps on their faces etc. Any dogs in his new home should be playful and tolerant of his crazy puppy antics. He has not yet met any cats so we do not know how he would do. He hasn’t been fostered with kids but did great with the ones he has met so far. He is a very active puppy with sharp puppy teeth so any small kids may accidentally be knocked over or chewed on until he learns his manners.
He is doing very well with his training for his age. He is still just a baby and has already lost a home and had to learn a new routine. Despite that he is doing really well with potty training for his age. He can’t hold it long but he goes outside whenever you take him out. He also whimpers in the crate at night to be let out as he cant hold it that long.
Ruckus is doing fairly well with the crate trained. He will protest vocally when first put inside but that gradually fades as he learns the routine of the household. He whines on car rides but does not get sick in the car. He is terrified of the leash currently. He will need continued work with that. So far he’s had no trouble sharing food, treats or toys with other dogs or humans.
He is high energy guy. He will need a fenced in yard, at least 5ft due to his size and a family that will give him an outlet for his energy. He loves anything you will do with him. He loves to play. He has a little separation anxiety which is common with pups taken from their parents to young. He will need your help to train him that he is okay to be alone at times so he can build his confidence with that.
Overall this playful pup has a super sweet personality and just loves life. He is going to make a great companion for one lucky family. His breed is smart, loyal and excellent companions.
Adopting a young puppy is a ton of work. They will have lots of potty accidents, chew things up etc. You will need to help them learn things like leash walking, crate training and basic manners. It can be a lot of work but the reward is a dog that fits well into your family’s lifestyle if you invest proper time on training with them. Please carefully consider the time and effort a puppy requires before adopting.
