Snowflake

MEET SNOWFLAKE!!!

These sweet siblings are looking for SEPARATE HOMES. The are both super sweet but will be big girls when fully grown.
We saved both of these sisters and their mom only a few hours before the first snowstorm hit us. They were living outside in a pen with minimal protection from the elements. They are doing really well learning to live inside and enjoy life as real dogs. (Mom is named Blizzard she is posted separately)
They are both females, approx 5 months old. They weigh 42 and 45 pounds. They appear to be hound and Great Pyrenees based off their size and mom’s looks. They will likely be larger dogs.
They will be spayed, microchipped and up to date on vaccines as part of their adoptions.
Both puppies still need a lot of training due to starting life in an outdoor pen. They are however doing really well so far and seem to be very smart. Seems like they truly enjoy life as part of a family instead of outside.
SNOWFLAKE- a very sweet girl and very affectionate. She’s really learning everything for the first time. Thrives with another dog there to kind of teach her how to be a dog.
Both puppies are fantastic with other dogs and kids. They are shy and learning about life so another dog helps them but isn’t required. Icicle is fostered with a cat and is interested but doesn’t hurt or chase the cat. Snowflake has not been fostered with cats.
Neither puppy has had any trouble sharing food, treats or toys with other dogs or humans. Neither is completely potty trained but they are learning. Both have started crate training and can be a bit vocal in there but learn more each day. They’ve done fine on car rides. Neither is very familiar with leash walking yet.
We expect these girls to be big and strong dogs that are fairly energetic. Please be prepared to exercise each and every day so they do not become pent up and display negative behaviors. Training well and often is very important so you don’t end up with a large dog you can’t control.
Pyrenees and hounds are both known for escaping yards. They go over and under fences with a tendency to roam. You will need to supervise them when they are outside. If left alone outside you are asking for them to find a way out. They are also well known for being loyal and loving family dogs.
Adopting a young puppy is a ton of work. They will have lots of potty accidents, chew things up etc. You will need to help them learn things like leash walking, crate training and basic manners. It can be a lot of work but the reward is a dog that fits well into your family’s lifestyle if you invest proper time on training with them. Please carefully consider the time and effort a puppy requires before adopting.
We do NOT adopt siblings into the same family. Before commenting on how sad etc, you feel that is please google “littermate syndrome” so you can understand why we take this precaution. It is done in the best interest of the puppies.
Vet and home checks required.
Located in Hampton VA.
(They will need to be adopted within a 1 hour drive radius)
