Typo

This sweet boy is looking for his new home. He is a clingy, happy and loving boy. Likes to be right beside you or sitting in your lap.

Typo is a 3 year old male. He currently weights 20 pounds and is full grown. He is neutered, microchipped and up to date on his vaccines. He is heartworm negative.

The previous owners said he was a Cavalier spaniel mixed with a Maltese. He does not look like that is his breed mix to us but who knows. He looks kind of like a poodle mix, his hair and skin favor a Chinese crested on the back end. We really aren’t sure what this boy is mixed with.

Typo is fine with dogs of all sizes and is fostered with several dogs. He really doesn’t care about having another dog in the house. He is all about his people. He has lived with cats but was said to be scared of them a bit. He has been great with children and really seems to like them. He has been around children that treat him appropriately and not like a toy so any kids in the home would need to be respectful toward him and not pull ears, tails, climb on him etc.

He is crate trained and does well with leash walking. He has done great on all the car rides he has been on. He is mostly potty trained but will still mark his territory. We are hoping his recent neuter will help continue to resolve that.

Typo has a fairly low energy level currently. He loves to cuddle or sit around in your lap. He is up for playing fetch for awhile or taking a walk but is not very demanding with his energy needs. For the most part he is laid back and sweet. He does get worried when he cant be near you and will get a bit whiny and show some anxiety however it is not overwhelming.

He’s had no trouble sharing food, treats or toys with other dogs or humans. He listens fairly well and is learning more and more each day. He came to us with very irritated skin and ear infections. He was being fed Ol’ Roy dog food which is a terrible brand of low-quality food that commonly causes skin issues. We took him off the food immediately and his skin has already improved so much in only two weeks. His ear infection is being treated as well and overall, he is improving without major medical intervention. Just good care and quality food.

Typo really is a great little guy. He is super sweet and loving. He would merge well into most home settings. He would do well in a family with kids or even a more low key home with a senior.

He will need regular grooming. This requires time to get him to and from the appointments and additional expenses to pay for it. On average a dog of this breed will need grooming every 6 weeks. This should be fully considered prior to applying to adopt him.
