MEET ZULA!!!!
She came to us with Iroh (posted separately) Their family was unable to keep them. They do like each other however with them being unfixed and opposite sex we have separated them to avoid pregnancy. They do great apart and easily bond with other dogs.
Zula is a 2 year old female. She is said to be a Yorkie and Pom mix. she weighs 9 Pounds and is full grown. She will be spayed, up to date on vaccines and microchipped as part of her adoption. She is heartworm negative and on monthly preventions.
She is very affectionate and sweet. She is not as shy as Iroh and has done really well. She loves everyone and everything. A super sweet girl overall. She is described by her foster as a social butterfly that follows you everywhere.
Zula has done really well with other dogs of all sizes. She is not fostered with cats so we do not know how she will do. She is friendly and loving with kids however she jumps all over them and can be a little hyper in her behaviors. Nothing aggressive though and she would do fine with kids that don’t treat her like a toy.
She is doing well with her crate training. She is also great on car rides but we do use a crate to keep her from moving around the vehicle to much. She is not very familiar with walking on the leash yet. She is not fully potty trained. She makes an effort to use potty pads in the house but isn’t perfect with it. She does best going out into a fenced yard to potty. She does want you to go with her though. She may have spent some time living outside prior to coming here and we think she may be afraid she is going to be left out there.
Zula is a higher energy dog. She will need lots of exercise and play time. She is not really a lap dog and needs a more fun and active family to be happy. She can be very hyper and jump all over you. Its all happy joy but if her energy is left unmanaged she may develop behavior problems. Please do not adopt her unless you are looking for an active little dog.
She has not had any issues sharing food, treats, or toys with people or other animals. She was also very well behaved for the vet and everyone she has met so far.
Zula is the cutest little thing. She just needs a family looking for a spunky and active dog. She has a ton of potential and a great disposition overall. If you are an active famliy she may be a great new addition for you.
♦️She will need regular grooming. This requires time to get her to and from the appointments and additional expenses to pay for it. On average a dog of this breed will need grooming every 6 weeks. This should be fully considered prior to applying to adopt her.♦️
