Frankie was adopted today! An older gentlemen who lives by himself who lost his dog to old age a few months ago. He cried when Frankie walked in. It’s obvious the dog will be his entire world and Frankie was eating it up!! Jumped right on the couch, selected the largest pillow and made himself at home ❤️❤️
FRANKIE:
This sweet boy is looking for a heart to melt.
Frankie is a 2-3yr old, male Boxer / Pitbull mix. He weighs around 45 pounds but still needs to regain some weight.
He’s super sweet and gentle. He’s gotten along with all people, dogs and has now been around cats and toddlers and done great!
Frankie is potty trained, crate trained, does well on a leash and also on car rides.
He is neutered, up to date on shots and microchipped already.
He had an extremely light heartworm positive test however PLEASE don’t let that deter you. He’s on a very simple and quick heartworm treatment plan. He takes a pill for the next few weeks and afterward he simply continues with a once a month topical application of a common flea and tick Medicine, THIS WILL ALL BE PROVIDED TO YOU! The vet expects him to be heartworm free in 3 months which we will verify with a new heartworm test.
(If your dog is on regular heartworm prevention there is no concern of him transferring it to your pets. It’s also only transmitted by mosquitoes and due to the cold we don’t have any of those pesky things around right now)

He’s a sweet cuddle bug. He’s gentle and easy to have around. He loves to play tug o war and fetch. He’s very quiet in the house, I have yet to hear him bark even when my other dogs are alerting at something. He’s an all around great dog.
Frankie was found as a stray and ended up in a wonderful shelter that advocated and worked very hard to keep him from being put to sleep. His eyes hooked me and I agreed to take him in until he finds his perfect home.
Vet and home checks required. Rehoming fee $150 to help cover vet costs.
