Meet Maverick!!
He’s an adorable puppy that was dumped off in an oil field in Texas. Luckily he was spotted by a passing car with kind people inside!
Maverick is a 4-5 month old, male, border collie or possibly pointer mix. He is approx 30 pounds currently.
He’s a typical puppy. Full of love and energy. He is doing well with potty training, crate training and fantastic with leash walking. He does great on car rides.
Maverick has been good with other dogs. He’s also been great with kids but keep in mind puppies jump up, chew hands, and forget their size at times when running around. He’s not yet been around cats.
He is a gentle natured dog. He jumps up often out of excitement but is very gentle about it. Every time he is verbally corrected he immediately sits and looks at you like he’s sorry. He’s really eager to please. He’s very gentle on a leash so far.
He’s still fairly young and with proper training and socializing he will blend well into any family.
Maverick is very treat motivated which helps with training. He also recently learned to play fetch and he loves it!
He will be neutered, microchipped and up to date on shots as part of his adoption.
Vet and home checks required.

I tried with another rescue this weekend, for a male Pup, but they are a poorly run kind of place. Bad communication on their end. Even did an application, just to be told we could only pick him up on Saturday’s. My sis works Saturday’s and she is newly widowed :’( All she wants, is a good doggy, to love and give a wonderful home, as a family member.
