Ryder

Meet Ryder!!

If you’re looking for a wide open, playful puppy with a ton of energy then he’s your guy!!

Ryder is an approx 12- 16 week old, male, mystery mutt. The person who found him at first thought he was a year old Min Pin/Dachsund mix but his teeth are all tiny puppy teeth so he’s still very young. He’s approx 10 pounds with the body build of a smaller dog but we honestly don’t know what size he will get. Best guess is small to medium size.

He is full on living his best life. Everything is play and love with this guy. He’s been running through the house like a mad man, leaving no toy untouched. If it squeaks it’s destined for destruction.

Ryder would make an awesome companion for a family wanting an active dog that doesn’t get to big. He’s very sweet and loving. I could see him enjoying hiking and similar activities. He is very smart and learning quickly. He is also an expert at finding and retrieving toys thought to be lost forever from under the couch 😂

He is a young puppy with not much training. He does well being crated and has been fine on long car rides. No aggression shown so far toward anyone. He is a wild child so he may not be the best choice if you have timid or senior animals that like to be left alone.

Ryder is good with other dogs if they are okay with a puppy jumping on them to play. He hasn’t been around cats but will likely try to play with them roughly. He’s sweet and loving to everyone but toddlers and younger kids may not be the best fit. He’s in the hand chewing stage and that rarely pairs well with young kids.

Due to his energy level he will need a fenced in yard.

Please remember: Adopting a young puppy is a ton of work. They will have potty accidents, chew things, chew on your hands with their sharp little puppy teeth etc. You will need to help them learn things like leash walking, crate training and basic manners. It can be a lot of work but the reward is a dog that fits perfectly into your families lifestyle. Please carefully consider the time and effort a puppy requires before applying to adopt.

Ryder will be up to date on shots, microchipped and neutered as part of his adoption.
Vet and home checks required.
