Meet Trinket!!
This sweet little momma dog was dumped off in the woods with her puppies. She somehow survived and kept 3 puppies alive. They were picked up and taken to a shelter. Her time was almost up there when we took her and her pups in.
Tinker is a 2 year old, female, mix breed. Possibly Shepard and/or hound. She is small weighing only 35 pounds full grown.
She will be spayed, microchipped and up to date on shots as part of her adoption.
Trinket appears to be fully potty trained. She’s had no accidents but her foster takes her out often. She has been good with other dogs. She at times gets a little mouthy with other dogs that are getting more attention from her person that she is. We are unsure how she is around cats. She does not bark much and is fairly quiet.
She has been good around kids but children over 5 are recommended just to be safe. She’s had a hard life so far and we don’t expect her to tolerate toddlers pulling or climbing on her.
Trinket has a medium energy level. She is learning how to play and seems to be enjoying it. She really likes to be right with her person all the time. She has shown a little separation anxiety when first crated. The foster has been working with her and says it’s very manageable.
She rides well in the car and is learning leash training. She’s crate trained but isn’t a fan of it. A treat helps her go in and she whines a bit when first put away but settles shortly after.
Trinket has not shown any food aggression toward other dogs or people.
She is overall a sweet dog that attaches closely to her owner. She would make a great ESA dog(not the same as a service dog) She loves to run around and play with the other dogs. She’s learning to play with toys.
